A fixture of the Lake Superior Railroad Museum, the North Shore Scenic Railroad offers historic train rides over seven scenic bridges to Two Harbors, and along the Lester River. Passengers enjoy hearing historical background from experienced guides, and frequently see wildlife such as deers, bears, and birds of prey. The North Shore departs from downtown, near Hilltop Park.
