Description:

The Karpeles Library holds more original manuscripts and documents than any other private collection in the world. Spread over nine different museum buildings across the country, the Duluth branch holds such treasures as the Lincoln-signed Emancipation Proclamation Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and the Final Declaration of Allegiance Treaty between the U.S. and the Indian Tribe of America. The library lies downtown, just south of the University of Minnesota campus.

Open Memorial Day - Labor Day: daily noon - 4:00 p.m.; Labor Day - Memorial Day: Tue. - Sun. noon - 4:00 p.m.
