The Lake Superior Railroad Museum chronicles the rich history of the area's train industry, displaying more than 50 pieces of vintage rolling stock, including seven steam locomotives. It is also the departure point for the North Shore Scenic Railroad, which offers historic excursions around the surrounding countryside. Housed in the Union Depot building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum lies downtown.
Open Memorial Day - Labor Day: daily 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Labor Day - Memorial Day: Mon. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sun. 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $10; Children (3-13) $5.50; Children 2 and under are free.
