An accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, Lake Superior Zoo is an especially scenic animal sanctuary highlighted by majestic pine trees and burbling waterfalls. Animals exhibits include simulated biospheres like the Polar Shores, where snowy owls and river otters hang out, and the Australian Outback, home to kookaburras, red kangaroos and other marvelous creatures. The zoo lies in the downtown area, just east of Hilltop Park.
Open daily Summer: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Winter: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Adults $8; Children (3-12) $3; Children 2 and under are free.
